Illawarra Sports and Entertainment Precinct
RDA Illawarra has long supported the development of the Illawarra Sports & Entertainment Precinct (ISEP), along with the region’s Peak Bodies. Our advocacy work has been ongoing and traversed several iterations of business and market analysis.
We are pleased to advise that in 2023 RDA Illawarra joined the Venues NSW Reference Group for the Illawarra Sports and Entertainment Centre. This work will enable the development of a detailed business case and Master Plan for the ISEP, which was funded by the NSW Government in 2022 with $4.5 million over two years.
We congratulate Wollongong City Council on their 2022 report and Business Illawarra on their report which contributed to our collaborative advocacy for ISEP.
We are working with Venues NSW, the NSW Government and our Peak Bodies to deliver a business case which will enable development of a thriving regional visitor economy and jobs growth.
