RDA Illawarra is continually working with local organisations to strengthen the region's industry capabilities. The Illawarra is home to key industry players in the steel production by BlueScope and Bisalloy and the advanced manufacturing sector more broadly. Our role is to assist in fostering the sector capabilities and support Illawarra industry growth and sustainability.
BlueScope
BlueScope is based in Port Kembla, and a global leader in premium branded coated and painted steel products. BlueScope is the third largest manufacturer of painted and coated steel products globally and number one in building and construction markets. BlueScope has more than 100 facilities in 17 countries, employing around 14,000 people serving thousands of customers.
i3Net
i3net is the Illawarra's Innovative Industry Network that connects to the Illawarra’s vast range of manufacturers, engineering service providers and industrial suppliers. The i3net is a powerful network of industry based companies working from the Illawarra and it helps to promote the collective capability of industry to local, national and international markets.
