
Kimberley McMahon-Coleman is an educator with a passion for providing world-class education to students from rural and remote communities, and for ameliorating challenges in the educational environment for students with disability. Currently working in the Charles Sturt University Teaching Academy as Associate Professor (Academic Development), she was formerly the Academic Director of Regional Campuses at the University of Wollongong.
Kimberley holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons), and PhD in English literatures (UOW), a Graduate Diploma in Education (UOW), Teaching Certificate (NSW Department of Education), and Masters degrees in Education (Leadership—CSU and Special/Inclusive Education—UNSW), and Certificate in Executive Management and Development (AGSM/UNSW). She publishes in the intersection of disability studies, higher education and popular culture, and blogs about living and working in regional Australia.
Kimberley lived in a series of regional communities across three states before settling in the Shoalhaven. She was a long-standing member of the organising committee for NSW Cancer Council’s Relay for Life in the Shoalhaven, and is currently serving on the board for Interchange Shoalhaven.
